Description

Konstantin Ivanovich Gorbatov (1876-1945), Capri - Harbour View, oil on canvas, 1930s, signed 'C. Gorbatoff', signed again and inscribed 'Capri' on reverse, on the stretcher with fragment of an old label by company Knauer, Berlin, ‘Kunst-Abteilung’, here numbered '4858', 65 x 80.5 cm, with original frame approx. 74 x 90 cm.

The painting will be included in the forthcoming catalog raisonné by Dr. Olga Sugrobova-Roth.

PROVENANCE: private collection Northern Germany since the 1960s.
