Welcome to Auktionshuset

Auktionshuset is located about 20 km to the north of Copenhagen in Hørsholm.

We have more than 20 years of experience evaluating and selling antique and modern furniture, works of art, painting, silver, jewellery and much more. We have 10 auctions every year with more than 1000 items coming under the hammer on each auction. Our illustrated catalogue is online app. one week before the auction.

How to bid

We will be happy to handle your commission bids. Bids can be placed by fax, phone, e-mail or directly via the homepage up to one hour before the auction. Bidding by telephone is possible for items with an estimate above 1.500 DKK.

Estimates and bidding are in Danish kroner.

A fee of 25% will be added to the hammerprice. On items marked with ¤ an additional royalty fee must be paid in accordance with Danish copyright law. This applies to artworks by Danish artist and some international artists who are still alive or who have been dead for less than 70 years.

Payment must be made within three days after receiving the invoice either by bank transfer or in person in Auktionshuset. We accept Dankort, cashier’s cheques, cash, Eurocard or Mastercard.

Our lot descriptions are only available in Danish, but if you find something of interest, please do not hesitate to contact us and we will do our best to provide you with information.

Auktionshuset Live

We now present you with the opportunity to participate in our auctions from home. As always the auction will take place in our salesroom in Horsholm, but from the coming auction you can use our new LiveBidding feature to bid realtime on the auction.

You can follow the auction live on the internet seeing and hearing what takes place in the salesroom as it happens. And you can place bids on any item almost as if you were in the room yourself.

Before the auction you will need to register via a link on our website (coming soon). Once you have done this all you need is an internet connection to log in and start bidding.

Please note that an additional fee of 3%+VAT will be charged on top of the hammer price on items bought via LiveBidding. The fee covers our expenses providing this service.

We will of course still be pleased to accept commision bids via the homepage or in Auktionshuset.
